FIRE BREAK DAMPER The
electric-mechanically activated Fire Break Damper, is especially built for
application in Kitchen exhaust ducts located in places indicated by specific
technical standards and adequate for use in exhaust systems with high levels
of fat. In this manner, it must be fully built in black plates with a minimum
gauge equivalent to or above that of the ducts, should not have activation
elements, or internal obstacles which may be incrusted with fat, jeopardizing
its operation, be entirely water, smoke or flame proof, resistant to fires
for at least 1 hour, have a manufacturer's identification label, be
structured as a spool and have connections on both sides with flanges
equipped with fire resistant joints for the coupling to the ducts and
allowing easy removal for internal cleaning; it should not have any kind of
lateral openings which may reduce its resistance to internal explosions and
must be externally painted with a protective anti-oxidizing finish. The
Fire Break Damper must also comply with the ABNT Technical Standard no.
14.518 which also covers fire prevention in Kitchens and the like. |
